BOWENS
Just an update on the BOWENS Gallery at Focus as I did not realise until I took a call today that we are in fact the only photographers to be featured in the BOWENS gallery so that’s a bit of a feather in our respective caps however the problem is how to get the images selected and ready for next week. We have gone down the route of printing our own work which I do think we will be doing more of in the following months especially having just installed our new Epson Pro3880 and now looking at a larger Canon for the bigger images. FOTOSPEED have very kindly sponsored the A2 paper, I just love their Platinum Gloss WT, and FOTOSPEED are very kindly printing 6 large canvas images for one side of the display so looking forward to receiving that tomorrow. I must admit that FOTOSPEED are a delightfully friendly and helpful company to deal with and would highly recommend them to everybody. Speak to Toby or one of his staff they are all very helpful
While we were post processing images from yesterday’s mentoring session we came across some images from last year here is the first taken from one of our beach sessions which we host every summer.

MOTHER & CHILD
As many of you know we specialise in maternity and new born portraits and while there are many baby and pregnancy photographers few have been around as long as Yerbury and there are even fewer who have our photographic expertise and attention to detail which is why our clients call us because they know we will deliver high quality portraits and products. Today’s portrait is from a recent studio session with TV presenter Amanda Hamilton and her new baby.
Tomorrow we will look at The Failure to Succeed!

TRADITIONAL PORTRAIT
Another image of Chloe which I took last weekend. We have been using her again today for a feature about off camera flash for Digital SLR user February issue.

THE BALLET
Today’s image by Faye was taken after yesterday’s shot. We styled a ‘ballet set’ in the studio and shot this using just the tungsten modeling light as our main source and using a high ISO.

PORTRAIT
For several months I have been suggesting to photographers on our workshops to ‘walk in the other direction’ and few, if any, have taken that challange so I have decided to put my money where my mouth is. More on this later. Today’s image is a young lady called Chloe who we have photographed before. We used the new GeminiPro heads, soft box, barn doors and a softstrip.
