  • VICTORIA’S SUMMER

Another image from the same series.

    Victoria’s Summer

Another image from the same session with Victoria.

    Victoria’s Summer

Another from the archives. Taken back in the summer of 2003 on a Contax G2 loaded with Ektachrome 200 which was eventually push processed 2.5 stops and with my home made filter.

    From the Archives

Been having a look through our archives and came across this 10×8 transparency taken back in 1987. This is a straight scan from the Epson V750. Faye’s hairstyling and set design wonderful as always and a fantastic location. Daylight and Ektachrome with a Gandolfi and 12″ Dagor.

    NEW MODEL

This afternoon Faye and I were working with a potential new model. Faye obviously did her usual wizz on the styling front, hair etc. and I asked for lots of jewellery and Faye duly obliged. The majority of the images were taken on the 10×8 with FP4 film stock and several are in the wash right now and looking good. Faye shot some images on her D300 and I finished with a couple on the D700. All window light in the studio with reflector camera left. Exposure on the 10×8 was wide open @ f9 for 1/2 a second.  The first is my processed image followed by Faye’s and I hope to be able to scan the 10×8 film over the weekend and post early next week. Sooner if the weather is bad!

    VOLUNTEERS @ LOXLEY!

Those of you reading this post and who were @ Loxley’s on Monday will recall that later in the day, and to prove a point that you can produce a good portrait in an unassuming location on a very dull day, I press ganged 2 very surprised member of the audience to appear in front of my camera as the subjects. Both ladies, and please forgive me but I have forgotten your names, were reluctant as this was a complete surprise, not only to appear as models but in front of the other 38 delegates was quite a daunting prospect but both girls were wonderful and followed my guidance faultlessly. I only made about 6 exposures of each and these are my 2 selected images. I do hope the volunteers like the result? As with the previous images what little natural daylight we had on the day and Faye is holding a small reflector to camera left.
